Everything Indian students need to know about the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination β syllabus, pass rates, preparation strategy, and coaching resources.
The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) β now transitioning to NEXT (National Exit Test) β is a mandatory screening test that Indian citizens who have obtained their primary medical qualification from a foreign medical institution must clear before being allowed to practice medicine in India.
Conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), the exam tests candidates on the same subjects covered in Indian MBBS programs. Passing FMGE is not difficult if you have studied diligently and prepare strategically.
Important: As per NMC regulations, only graduates from NMC-approved foreign universities are eligible to appear for FMGE/NEXT β another reason to only choose our verified universities.
